WEEKEND RAMBLINGS...

More than two-years ago, when we first came here in Jubail, there were less than 20 Malaysian families residing in Jubail Balad and Royal Commission (Fanateer).  At present, I guess the number has reached to more than 100 Malaysian families who come from different parts of Malaysia.  We have come to know more and more Malaysians and happy to have more members of the 'family'...Alhamdulillah.

In spite of the large number of people, they are here for several reasons.  Some are here to stay long enough, some are just for a temporary basis, some are just for a very short vacation and some are even here just to see how things go on and they left...  For whatever it is, life still goes on...wherever or whenever.

Just recently, I attended a farewell event at one of our friends here in Jubail...actually there were several farewells that I have attended, organized by different groups and individuals for different individuals and even for the same persons..do we love farewells?? Definitely NOT!...I guess there were the only times and opportunities to meet up and to get together...be it at a farewell party!  But, this is just us...we love to seeing each other, meeting up...chit-chatting...laughing all the way, sharing stories about life, foods, kids, families and stuffs, because other times most of us are at home, 'grounded'.  In several occasions,  Ustazah Asmah (an Indonesian Mu'allimah) was invited to deliver  her talk on various topics.  Just yesterday, we had another farewell.  Ustazah Asmah was invited and she talked on Being a Good Muslim Wife.

Despite the difficulties to go out ourselves here, not being able to drive ourselves, Alhamdulillah we managed to move around.  Luckily, we have established network with a group of drivers who can provide us, Malaysian ladies the transportation every time we needed to.  But, transportation charges is quite expensive here...comparing to the cheap fuel price here in Saudi!  I wished I could drive myself!
